Are We There Yet?

Renewing the legislation that supports and funds the nation's transportation programs -- which expired on September 30, 2009 -- must be a top priority for all of us. Currently we spend half of what it would take to rehab our aging roads, bridges and transit systems; keep up with freight deliveries; and meet the needs of the traveling public. State DOTs, working through AASHTO, have mapped out a comprehensive plan for the future. Are we there yet? We can be -- by raising our voices in support of smart solutions. America, let's get moving!
