The Briefing Room - State DOTs Hit the Ground Running on Economic Recovery

In this Briefing Room segment, AASHTO's executive director John Horsley gives a state by state detailed update on specific projects that are underway due to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act., which has targeted $27.5 billion dollars for highway and bridge projects. Mr. Horsley echoes President Obama's assertion that this investment will create or sustain at least 150,000 jobs as states make badly needed bridge repairs, fix paving problems and work to the traffic bottlenecks that increases air pollution and lessens productivity.
