The Briefing Room - Economic Stimulus Package

In this Briefing Room segment, AASHTO's executive director John Horsley described what the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is and how state departments of transportation will benefit from the legislations. AASHTO member states have identified 5,000 "ready to go" construction projects worth $64 billion dollars that could be underway within 180 days of the passage of the ARRA. Mr. Horsley addresses the investment needed to sustain both the nation's highway and transit programs.
