February 27, 2013, U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood used some colorful language to describe sequestration -- the term used for the pending across-the-board cuts to many federal programs. LaHood also discussed a host of other tropics including transportation investment and work underway on a national strategy for bicycle and pedestrian lanes.​
