Delaware Transportation CEO Discusses Goals and Priorities
2 Minute Update - March 22, 2012 In this Two-Minute State DOT Update video, Delaware Department of Transportation Secretary Shailen Bhatt explains why preserving transportation infrastructure is one of the essential functions of a state DOT. Repaving deteriorated asphalt not only makes travel safer and smoother; it helps keep roadways in a good state of repair, extending their life cycle. Bhatt says he is keenly aware of the financial challenges his agency and many others DOTs face due to the struggling economy and that the solution is setting realistic goals and priorities that can be achieved for residents.
