Transportation TV has been created to support AASHTO’s national social media and public outreach and education effort. The goal of this nationwide effort is to inspire a national dialogue about America’s transportation needs today and into the future and the importance of passing a new Highway and Transit reauthorization bill designed to meet those needs. The news and information shared through Transportation TV will reflects America’s story, through coverage of real issues, views, problems and solutions. Tony Dorsey is AASHTO’s Manager of Media Relations, News and Information, working with reporters on a daily basis. He also manages the daily operations of Transportation Television AASHTO’s web based TV station. Tony is a former, Emmy-award winning journalist who worked for nine years at NBC News 4 in Washington, DC. Tony also served as Director of Public Affairs for both the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority and the District of Columbia Fire and EMS Department. Ryan A. Cole is the primary videographer/editor for Transportation TV. Cole is responsible for a wide range of duties including; camera operations, digital video editing, graphics and post-production. A 2009 graduate of Howard University, Cole received an Emmy-award while working as an intern in the promotional and advertising department at NBC Channel Four in Washington DC. He received the prestigious award for his participation in the creation and production of a show developed by the interns appropriately titled NBC Interns.
